The lower back is the second most common injured site in swimmers!

Swimmers often sustain back injuries due to the repetitive movements of hyperextension (arching of the back), flexion (bending forwards) and rotation.

Signs and symptoms of Swimmer’s Back:

  • Feeling of tightness in the spine

  • Inability to maintain streamline

  • Difficulty diving off the blocks
